Artscow.
Jan 27, 2010 Everyday
I came across Artscow through my online friends. And they have been availing of their products for quite some time now. I plan to have my digital photos printed this year so I decided to give Artscow a visit. Oh my, there are so much stuff I want to order from them. I like their bucket bag and cosmetic case and I love that I can have them personalized by putting a personal photos in there. I also love their custom pillow case. This will make a great gift for the grandparents. How I wish I can make my own photobook, too. But before all of these, I need to check for insurance quotes first. Prioritize, prioritize.
Take Better Candid Photographs.
Jan 25, 2010 Tips & Tricks
While I like my subjects looking at the camera, I enjoy taking candid photos more. I want to capture the moment and their expressions. I believe this is more priceless than posed shots. Anyway, I came across these tips for taking better candid photos.
1. Blend in and be forgotten.
This doesn’t mean you should stand in a corner hiding with your camera. I actually mean the exact opposite - get out there and be seen. For example, say you’re shooting a wedding, you want the guests to get so used to seeing you photographing them, that they begin ignoring the fact that you’re photographing them and instead act as if you’re not there. This will let you catch those natural candid moments that can be truly unique.
2. Watch, wait, be patient.
Many photographers don’t have the patience to wait for reactions that are truly unique and interesting, but often if you wait long enough, something photographic will happen. Look around you, and you’ll see people going through a range of fun and interesting emotions and actions.

3. Keep your camera and lens kit small and compact as possible.
Try using smaller cameras, such as a DSLR without a battery pack in conjunction with prime lenses. A compact kit won’t alarm people allowing them to act naturally around you and forget about your camera. This is especially useful for candid street photography.

“The world bursts at the seams with people ready to tell you you’re not good enough. On occasion, some may be correct. But do not do their work for them. Seek any job; ask anyone out; pursue any goal. Don’t take it personally when they say ‘no’ — they may not be smart enough to say ‘yes.’”

Beautiful Nature Wallpapers.
Jan 23, 2010 Interesting
I love this collection of really beautiful desktop wallpapers. I love looking at them and they will surely bring a fresh new look to your screens. If only real life can always be this fresh and beautiful. Which reminds me that I need to check for new filters for the aircon. We need some ultra allergen filters as both DS and I are asthmatic. And while at it, I should take a look at furnace filter, too.

More Disney Photos.

I loved this part of the show. I enjoyed watching the pirates as their costumes were so colorful.

Buzz, appearing from above. He did catch me by surprise.

This was so much nicer in person. The stage was so dark and yet you could see those ghosts floating in the air.

There were lots more fun scenes and my son enjoyed the show so much, he was requesting to see it again. He sure is ready to see Disneyland. I just don’t know when that will push through as we have other priorities this year. Getting an affordable life insurance quote is one of them.
BookBook Case.

BookBook is a one-of-a-kind, hardback leather case designed exclusively for MacBook and MacBook Pro. Available in Classic Black or Vibrant Red, BookBook brings three levels of security to your prized Mac. First, the hardback cover and spine provide solid protection from the rigors of the road. Second, the vintage book design disguises MacBook for superior security. And third, the stylish case protects you from being like everyone else because BookBook is totally original, just like you. I love this. But I don’t have a Mac. ;(
The Invisible Man.

I had to pause my search for affordable business insurance quotes online when I come across these amazing photos. I am almost done with the search anyway as I think I found what I need from 2insure4less.com.
Anyway, these are the works of Chinese artist Liu Bolin. No Photoshop editing, no trick photography. He just paints himself and positions himself to blend with his background. Truly amazing. Do you see him in the photos? I had a bit of a trouble spotting him on the last photo.
See more of his works here.
