Poladroid Yourself.

I was supposed to look for some discount furniture online for the living room, but got distracted by Poladroid. It’s a small application that you download into your computer that transforms your pictures into polaroid. This is really cool and so simple. You simply drag your photos then wait (just like waiting for the actual polaroid to develop) for your pictures to turn into polaroid. And the photos are high-res and ready to print.

Tried it on my latest photos with DS.

Amazing.

These pavement drawings by Julian Beever are amazing. These are just flat chalk drawings but they do look 3-dimensional.

Wishing and Hoping.

Nikon 50mm f/1.4D. Fast enough for shooting in just about any type of light, this is an ideal first lens; perfect for full-length portraits, travel photography or any type of available-light shooting.

We’re getting this first. If the budget permits, the 1.4 will follow.

Tomorrow.

We might visit a camera shop tomorrow to get a new lens. We already sold our lenses so it is a must (at least for me) that we get a new lens right away. There is no way I can use the camera without a lens. I want to get a tripod as well, but I highly doubt it. Times are hard. We must learn to prioritize. Discount Blinds shopping is also on the agenda but I just learned that SIL is giving us a set of curtains so there’s no need to get new blinds.

Goodbye.

Today I bid goodbye to our 50mm. DH sold it as well as the kit lens of our camera. I now can’t use the camera and it really feels like I’m missing something. We will be getting this soon and I can’t wait. And maybe I can get a 50mm f/1.4, too.

To Shop.

While most of my friends are trying their best to resist the shopping temptation, I am on the lookout for great deals online. The Lego set I bought last Christmas is missing some parts. So when I told the seller about it, they generously sent me the whole set again. My friend Glo received the set for me and she’ll be shipping it to me soon. So right now, in order to fill my box, I am looking for some nice deals online.

Good thing I came across Shop.com and saw some irresistible clearance sale. Of course, my first stop is the kids’ stuff clearance sale. What’s nice about the site is their shopping comparison helping customers find the best deal. You can also gain access to the tons of coupons, special discounts and other great offers from them. You might want to check out their ongoing clearance sale.
